AN4AA Postgraduate Talk Series

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from 5 to 6 postgraduate researchers based in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand who are engaged in research on Asian art and are interested in representing the AN4AA postgraduate community and taking on leadership roles in key AN4AA postgraduate initiatives.​

​

What Postgraduate Representatives do:

  • Convene AN4AA’s annual Asian Art Now hybrid Postgraduate Symposium showcasing current research from Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and beyond

  • Coordinate AN4AA’s Postgraduate Talk Series featuring emerging scholars and postgraduate researchers

  • Develop collaborative partnerships between postgraduates across institutions in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand

  • Co-manage AN4AA’s digital platforms with the AN4AA Coordinating Group, including the website, Humanitix event portal, YouTube channel, and Instagram presence

  • Co-manage organisational communications with the AN4AA Coordinating Group, including overseeing the AN4AA email account, and preparing and distributing correspondence

  • Contribute strategic input to support the growth and future direction of AN4AA programs and initiatives in coordination with the AN4AA Coordinating Group

  • Undertake additional responsibilities in coordination with the AN4AA Coordinating Group

Commitment:

  • Term commences in 2026 upon confirmation of your successful Expression of Interest

  • Flexible to support postgraduate studies

  • Involvement ranges from 1 to 3 years, depending on your postgraduate research schedule

​

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled in a Master’s or PhD research or coursework degree at a university in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand

  • Researcher focused on any aspect of Asian art history and theory, art practice, curatorial practice, or arts management, and/or museum and heritage studies

​
